This is a high effeciency dual output power module. It has two output 12v and 5V. Output is fixed and very stable. It doesn't generate heat as much as the 78xx series regulator. It is perfect fit for all vehicle, boat, and bike with 12V~24V electric system. Of course it works great for solar system. No pigtail required
