As usual, it supports Auto Focus and Rotary attachments. Works well with CO2 or RF laser. DSP (Digital Signal Processing) Laser controller comes with a LCD control panel and supports dump drive (no PC required). The DSP system comes with LaserCad graphic application that works independently for simple graphic creation or file importing/exporting. It works as a control platform for the CorelDraw (v12 or higher version), and AutoCad (2004 or higher version).

"What you see on the screen is what you'll get!". Once a work file is uploaded to the card, the system will work without using a PC. A list of files supported: AI, DXF, PLT, DST, DSB, BMP, GIF, JPG, PNG, MNG, ICO CUR, TIF, TGA, PCX, JBG, JP2, JPC, PGX, RAS, PNM, SKA, RAW

Until now, these controllers were only available to machine manufacturers. I guess I was the first to purchase one of these for home retrofit of a small machine. My machine came with the MoshiDraw and could not perform all the cutting methods I needed. I first did a conversion to Mach3 control which was good for vector cutting, but lacked good raster capability. I saw this controller and knew it would be the answer. Admittedly, there were some bumps in the road when first getting this running, but Marco at LightObject was quick to get me answers to help me get it running. I couldn’t be happier with the final outcome! I highly recommend the controller anyone that has at least moderate electronics knowledge. A novice may find the installation to be a challenge, but it is possible if you pay careful attention to the schematic. If upgrading a small machine like I did, you will also need a stepper motor controller with 1/16 micro-stepping, also carried here at LightObject.com

Awesome!

Takes all the hassle out of controlling your laser cutter. No more messing around trying to get it to work on Mach3 with parallel ports!

What kind of file inputs does it take?

I am using TurboCAD. What kind of file inputs does this SW take? (e.g. .stl, .dxf, .tcw)

File types it works with

Money well spent

Review by David on 2/5/2013

I spent as much on this controller as I spent on my K40 machine and it was a great investment. I am very versed in electronics and CNC so installation was a breeze. Even if you just have the basic skills, the upgrade shouldn't be a problem. The software is lacking a comprehensive manual but it is very intuitive and easy to use. A little time and some scrap material to play with and you will have it down quickly.
