Very Surprised

Review by Bill on 5/25/2017

I have been using laser machines for well over 3 years and this is my third CO2 machine. Sold my large ULS laser in preparation for downsizing to a smaller retirement home and was looking for a more compact machine. I have dealt with LightObject before and when I saw they had a new one they had designed and built I knew it had to be good. The tube is a true 40 watt one which has a peak rating of 45 watts. IF this was sold on eBay it would be called incorrectly a 50 watt model by other venders. It was ordered and came by truck. I unpacked and hooked up to a vent system, water pump and air pump. Turned it on and Surprise it did a file that was already in the controller! Negatives, You will need to supply your own air and water pump and vent fan. I already had most of that anyway so it was not a big deal. It would have also been nice to have a focus tool, but they are easy to make. Would I recommend, absolutely. Well designed, quality, wired and built what more could you want?

We have been using this laser for almost a year and love it. The quality is great and the equipment seems to be very durable. We use it to make acrylic signs and odd shaped acrylic pieces we use in our work. We picked this up in Sacramento and it fit in the back of my truck. There have been a few situations where we would have liked a larger, more powerful laser but we didn't have the space so we settled for this. That said it is still a great engraver. When we have the space for a larger unit I will definitely be buying it from Light Object.

Very happy with this laser

I have been using this for a few weeks now and I love it. The machine is fast and accurate, the controls are intuitive, and the software works well with few quirks. It is well built and has a nice fit and finish. Perfect size for our garage. We use it to make wood jewelry and some acrylic, mostly 1/8" materials but it handled 1/4" without issue.
